Katherine Rupert MSW, RSW
Katherine received her undergraduate Honours degree in Psychology and Child Studies from the University of Guelph, Bachelor of Social Work degree from McMaster University, and Master of Social Work degree (Clinical Specialization) from the University of Calgary. Katherine is also certified by Starr Commonwealth as an Advanced Certified Trauma and Resilience Practitioner and has completed advanced level training through the Canadian Association of Play therapy .
As Clinical Lead of the Attachment, Consultation and Education Service at the Child and Parent Resource Institute, Katherine developed specialized expertise in the provision of evidence-based, attachment focused individual, family and group based assessments and interventions with families caring for children presenting with early relational trauma and attachment disturbances. Katherine is also certified reliable on a variety of attachment measures including the Ainsworth ABC Attachment Rating Scales, Emotional Availability and the Secure Base, Safe Haven© Observation Coding System. Certified by the Circle of Security Network as a COSN therapist, clinical supervisor and trainer, Katherine believes in, and honours, the innate wisdom and positive intentionality of caregivers to see, understand and respond sensitively to their child's needs.
